This is a one-quart fat separator by Oxo. It's plastic, but it doesn't mind the heat! I use this to de-fat my broths. The plug keeps any fat from going up the spout, and the top strains out small chunks. I don't bother with the top, your mileage may vary. My only complaint is that I wish they made a 2 quart size!Awesome Dutch Oven |

| Calphalon 8 Quart Stainless Steel. I love the glass top so I can see what's going on inside. Great for soups and stews and anything you'd otherwise put in a slow cooker. It's a bit pricey depending on your budget (watch for sales, we paid $79 for ours, I haven't seen that price in a while but this is well worth the investment. |
